# "WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY ?"
: It is one of the health care profession. It is also known as physical therapy.
If I describe it...then..by the definition....
• Physiotherapy is a treatment method based on science of movement, which helps people to restore, maintain their physical strength or power, movement and prevents further injuries, promotes health, fitness and wellbeing.
Now the second question will be...
# "WHO IS A PHYSIOTHERAPIST ?"
: Physiotherapists are also known as physical therapists.
• Physical therapists are health professionals.
• Physiotherapists are experts in movement and functional techniques, who works in partnership with their patients.
PHYSIOTHERAPY & PHYSIOTHERAPIST can help you at any stage of your life.
# "WHAT IS A PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC ?"
: You also can call it a rehabilitation center.
• In the physiotherapy clinic you can see (more than two) separate rooms with different types of machines, exercise zone, beds for giving treatment, different equipments for different types of exercises, there will be a consultation room, a bathroom, a waiting area, big mirrors, tables, chairs etc.
# After telling this some of you may think " from where the Physiotherapy came?"

# "WHY PEOPLE NEED PHYSIOTHERAPY ?"
: There are a number of reasons you might get physiotherapy. Some of the reasons are..
i. Sometimes your doctor will refer you in order to address a specific injury or condition.
ii. After a prolonged period of illness or during/after ai illness which impacts mobility, balance or motor skills.
iii. In case of some chronic health conditions.
iv. After a surgery.
v. Injuries that leave the patient with a lot of pain or inability.
vi. As people getting old, they lose movement and functional ability.
vii. Major health crisis, like -- heart attack, stroke, cerebral palsy (CP) etc.

Exercises, manipulations, mechanical apparatus and other treatments, over medication and surgery.
# "WHAT PROBLEMS DO PHYSIOTHERAPISTS TREAT ?"
1. Any kind of orthopaedic conditions, like --
Back pain, low back pain, joint problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, foot conditions, sciatica, knee conditions, etc..
2. Any kind of neurological conditions, like --Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, nerve damage, vertigo ( filling dizzy ), balance problem, cerebral palsy (CP), stroke, etc..

# "HOW TO GET ADDMISSION IN UNDERGRADUATE COURCE OF PHYSIOTHERAPY IN INDIA ?"
: In India different states conducts different entrance exams to get addmission, some are ---
i. IPUCET = Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University,
ii. NILDCET = NIEPMD, Chennai,
iii. CPNET = Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences,
iv. JENPAUH = West Bengal University of Health Science.
v. All india based exam, etc.
# "Details about Bachelor of Physiotherapy in india"
∆ In India the undergraduate course of physiotherapy is called BPT.
Cource Duration : 4years and 6 months.
Eligibility criteria : Higher secondary or (10+2) or equivalent with 50% marks with physics, chemistry & biology.
• Candidates have to clear the entrance exam.
• Candidates must have science in higher secondary.
Fees : Depends on states & colleges.
Subjects : In the 4 year duration students have to go through various types of subject, like -- anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, exercise therapy,electro therapy, biomechanics & kinesiology, psychology & sociology, pharmacology, microbiology, pathology, orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, physical assessment, gynaecology, disability prevention and rehabilitation, etc. 6 months will be internship.

# "WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GRADUATE? WHAT ARE THE SOURCE OF INCOME ?"
: SO... after completing BPT you can do further studies, like masters in physiotherapy (MPT), PhD.
• If you want to do a job then you can apply the government vacancies, privet hospital, nursing homes, home care companies or you can start on your own..you can start home visits or online therapy etc..
• All of those are very good source of income.. so do whatever you want...
